Setapp User Migration Guide

Starting September 6th 2024, Short Menu will no longer be available on Setapp. We want to ensure you have all the information you need to transition smoothly to our standalone version.

Why is Short Menu Being Removed from Setapp?

Due to the new pricing structure of Short Menu, it is no longer compatible with Setapp’s model unfortunately. We did not take this decision lightly, but ultimately decided that we need to focus on offering our users the best possible experience, instead of supporting multiple marketplaces.

What Does This Mean for You?

If you are currently using Short Menu through Setapp, you will need to transition to the standalone version. Don’t worry, the process is simple and your data will be automatically migrated.

Transition Steps

1. Download the Standalone Version:

  • Unpack the Installer and move Short Menu to your Applications folder.
  • Your data should be automatically detected and migrated.

3. Remove Setapp Version

  • Once you confirmed your data was migrated successfully, uninstall the Setapp version.

Please ensure that iCloud is enabled on your Mac for a seamless data migration. If iCloud is disabled and you wish to migrate your data, please contact our support team for assistance.

Short Menu 5 is a completely overhauled version of Short Menu. It includes an all-new design and features such as:
